What to bring to your driving test
When it comes to taking your driving test, you need to make sure you have a few essentials.
In order to take your test you need
- Your UK driving licence
- Your theory test pass certificate(if you have it)
- A car, this can either be your driving instructors or your own so long as it meets the requirements
When it comes to taking your test, we would recommend using your Drive247 Leicester driving instructors car. However, if you would rather use your car, then this is also fine.
You need to ensure that you have all three of these in your possession. Otherwise, your test may be cancelled, and you will not get your money back.
What to do if you have lost your licence?
If you have managed to lose your licence before your test, you have two options. If your test is a month or more away, then you can order a new provisional licence. We recommend your test being at least a month away as it can take 15 days or more to get a new licence.
However, if you have lost your licence and your test is sooner than a month, the best thing would be to rebook it. This way, you won’t be losing any money, and it also means you won’t be under any added pressure by waiting for a licence.
What to do if you have lost your theory test certificate
You may have misplaced your theory test certificate or even forgotten to bring it. This is no issue as your examiner will be able to check whether you have passed before your driving test starts.
Be warned you need to have passed this before you attempt your driving test and it must still be valid. You only have two years before it expires so don’t delay in getting test ready.
